Why It’s Okay Not to Have It All Together
In a world where everyone seems to have it all together, it’s easy to forget that what we see is only a glimpse, a highlight, not the whole story. Behind every curated moment is a human being doing their best, just like you. This reflection is a gentle reminder that life isn’t meant to be perfect; it’s meant to be real. When we embrace the messy, honest parts of our journey, we make space for connection, compassion, and truth to grow.
Flow, Don’t Force: The Beauty of Letting Life Unfold
Following your intuition isn’t about having everything figured out — it’s about trusting that the way will unfold as you take each gentle step. In a world that glorifies speed and certainty, choosing to slow down and listen is a quiet act of courage. When you release the need to control the outcome, you create space for life to meet you exactly where you are meant to be.
In an age of speed, nothing is more urgent than slowing down.
Yoga seems to have become a thing other than itself here in the Western world. In my practice over the past 25 years, I have witnessed some rather interesting mutations of this practice we call yoga.
What is Creative Earth Wellbeing?
Welcome to my newest iteration, Creative Earth Wellbeing. An invitation to reconnect to what really matters so that we can live our most authentic, creative, and joy-filled lives.
Love the life that’s in front of you
Remember a while back when I wrote about ‘becoming me as a mom’? Well, here I am again, this time as a 40-year-old mother of two. And as much as I’d love to say that I have it all figured out, the reality is, I have to learn it all over again.
Date-Based Energy Balls
Energy balls take a few minutes of prep and offer a weeks worth of healthy, easy snacking.
Cashew Cream Sauce
Many of the meals I put together are plant based and I am always looking for new ways to add protein and substance to the food I cook.
I am obsessed with making cashew cream sauce. It is easy, packed with plant based protein, healthy fats, and lots of flavor.
The Creamiest Hummus Recipe
One of my go-to snacks for home and a party is hummus. Healthy, kid-friendly, and easy to make.
With a few basic ingredients, any one can make this delicious and nutritious snack.
Why Meal-Prep is a Game Changer
When you eat better, you feel better.
Nourishing your body from the inside out leads to a healthier body and a more clear mind.
And when your brain and body function better the result is increased and focused productivity, more patience and calm due to consistent blood sugar levels, and a general sense of well-being.
Pursue Yourself
“If you don’t know what to pursue in life right now, pursue yourself. Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself. Then the right path will reveal itself.” ~Power of Positivity
3 Daily Wins
I read somewhere that in order to feel like we have a great day every day, we need 3 daily wins:
a physical win,
a spiritual win, and
a mental win.
With a seemingly never ending to-do list, adding things into what we should do each day may seem daunting. However, if you can find a win in each of these categories, it will make the day that much more positive, productive and keep the inspiration flowing for all the other pieces of your day. Find practices that suit you and your lifestyle!
Declutter Your Life
Learning how to build a simple life you are proud of isn’t always easy. It takes commitment and follow through. It goes against the grain of a consumerism culture and the expectation that you will say yes to every thing.
Make Your Home a Haven
“Is your home just another place of unmet expectations, to-do lists, and exhaustion? Or is your home a haven, the safest place on earth, a place to come back to, a place to heal, a place to create, a place to rest and simply be? You get to decide.”

Kid-Friendly Spinach Muffins
Looking to add more nutrients to your kids foods? I tried these out with Ayla last week and they were a big hit! I also snuck in a few mini chocolate chips which definitely sweetened the deal, but with or without, they are a great choice for an on-the-go snack, quick breakfast, and even freezable for back-ups on those busy days.
Thoughts on Skincare
What you expose your skin to gets carried through your entire body! In my humble opinion, what you put on your skin matters as much as what you eat and drink. Read your labels. Be selective.
Take care of yourself from the inside out and from the outside in!
Shifting from Routine to Rhythm
These past weeks, I feel like I’ve been beating myself up over not being productive enough, not sticking to my morning rituals, not planning meals well enough… I have been “should-ing” all over myself. As someone who writes about healthy habits and wellness, I am feeling sub-par in my own personal life.
What if we shifted away from rigid and allowed for more fluidity?
Kale Caesar Salad with Squash Croutons
Great for a healthy weeknight dinner! This recipe has a bit of prep involved. If you are planning ahead for the week, make and store the dressing in the fridge, and pre-roast your pumpkin/squash to cut down on cooking time the night of.
Morning Booster Shot
Here’s another quick and easy add-in for your morning. Prep on Sunday and sip through the week!
Full of anti-inflammatory, immune enhancing and metabolism boosting ingredients.
Morning Rituals Revisited
With all the things I am doing, and would like to do, it is time for me to revisit my morning rituals as well.
Here’s my revamped version of what my ideal morning looks like now.
Simple Carrot Soup
I love soup! Even living in the heat of the tropics, I probably make soup once a week. There is something both comforting and nourishing in a simple, well made soup. This is another recipe that I tried out with our yoga teacher training group last year. Carrots have a natural sweetness that appeals to the palates of the whole family. I hope you enjoy!
