Waking Up with Positivity
Do you ever feel like your day just starts off hard? Like you keep waking up on the “wrong side of the bed?” And the rest of the day seems to snowball? You’re rushing to get out of the house on time, between making breakfast, prepping lunch, getting everyone dressed and out the door. Then you spill your coffee, the car needs gas, the kids are fussing. You get to work a few minutes late and the rest of the day feels like you can’t catch up. It carries into the night and when your head finally hits the pillow you are exhausted, a little sad, and frustrated by the day. Only to wake up and have the same thing happen the next day!
How do we break this cycle? How do you wake up with positivity?
Crunchy Quinoa-Cacao Bites
Due to popular demand, I am posting a more healthy, family-friendly recipes. Here’s another one of my family’s favorite snacks. It’s easy to make and hard to stop eating.
New Year Reset: Moving into 2025 with Intention
I’m not a huge fan of making resolutions, but rather realigning with what is right for me, to live intentionally and to make the most of the time we have. We have an opportunity to evolve and grow with each day, each moment, each breath. “This year isn’t about resolutions. It’s about a (re)evolution.”
Puffed Rice Bars
Another one of my favorite things! I made this recipe during our 2024 yoga teacher training, and we all loved it. It super easy, mostly healthy, and really tasty.
Balancing Morning Drink
I wanted to share a few of my favorite things this holiday season. This balancing morning drink is one of my new favorites. You can drink it on its own or add it to your morning coffee if you want the extra caffeine kick.
What is slow living?
Picture this:
You wake up with the sun.
Unroll your yoga mat or set out your meditation cushion.
Boil some water and make your coffee or tea.
Set your favorite mug down so you can smell the aroma of your morning drink….
What value do you add to the world?
The value that I add to the world through my work, is the same value that I have received. If yoga didn’t exactly save my life, it gave me life. Let me clarify…
Celebrate the seemingly small.
See the small as large.
As an entrepreneur, creative, and mother to a new born and almost-four year old, I am relishing in the seemingly small accomplishments. It’s all I have the time and space for. And I am reminded that these small things really are big wins.
Something you may not know about me…
I have really big emotions. When I am happy, I am really happy. When I feel like I am in my flow, I am deep in it. When I am passionate about something, I am all in. And at the same time, when I am angry, I can easily lose my temper. When I am sad, it’s hard to get the tears to slow and the darkness to stop creeping in. When something frustrates me, it’s a challenge to not let it show.
The dance between effort and ease
Sthira and Sukha, learning to simultaneously put in the effort and to let go of the outcome…
A lifetime of unraveling
When I look back through my almost 40 years, I feel like I have lived many lives, trying out the different possible versions of myself. And it’s all been a beautiful unfolding. An unraveling of the versions that don’t align with my truest self. Trying things on to see how they fit and then letting go of what isn’t essentially me.
World Meditation Day
Do you have a meditation practice? Is meditation new to you? What is meditation, really?
Becoming ‘me’ as a mom
If I keep clinging to past feelings of what power and potential felt like then, I will never be able to tap into what I am capable of now and what I have the capacity to grow into.
How to reset your routine
Learn to ‘choose your hard’ and know your ‘why.‘ Staying motivated isn’t easy, but it’s always worth it.

Is it something you’re born with or can you learn it?
The question hit me hard. I was asked recently if I was born this way, exuding a sense of togetherness and calm. I thought, ‘If she only knew!’ It is a choice and a daily practice. And it is never too late to start.
Buddha Bowls: an oldie but a goodie
Buddha Bowls are a go-to plant based meal for me. They are filling, the fixings are flexible based on what you have or are craving, and there is always a sauce and sauces are my favorite!
